• increased irritability
• moodiness, arguing, and insubordination
• increased sleepiness
• slurred speech or excessive talking
• dilated pupils or red eyes
• smell of alcohol on breath
• unsteady movements of the body and shaky hands, along with sweaty palms
• violent behavior
• poor personal hygiene
• impatience
• depression
• extreme emotions and suspicious attitude towards others
• a sudden change in friends
• borrowing/stealing money from company/co-workers
• deteriorating family relationships
